SecMaker, the Nordic region's leading supplier of digital security, has appointed Martin Eriksson as the new Managing Director of the company. Martin comes most recently from the brand and communications agency Occasion and replaces the current Managing Director and founder Niklas Anderson.
Martin Eriksson has solid experience of leadership and organisational changes, with his most recent role as CFO and partner at the brand and communication agency Occasion. Before that Martin had a long career within the IT and telecommunication sector, including setting up Boxer TV-Access and leading roles in companies such as TeliaSonera and British Telecom. In addition to this, Martin has worked as a management consultant for many years in relation to industrial, technology and service companies. Martin replaces the founder Niklas Anderson who has been CEO at SecMaker for the last 14 years and who will be focusing on the role of marketing and partner manager in the future.
"It feels good and like I am doing the right thing in handing over the role of Managing Director to Martin in a situation where the company is ready to move from being entrepreneur-driven to a company which is moving up to new markets and business transactions, both inside and outside Sweden's borders", say Niklas Anderson.
Martin came into contact with SecMaker in 2015 in connection with a consulting assignment on behalf of the board of directors. After that, Martin and the company maintained contact and have now linked up in a joint forward initiative.
"SecMaker has fantastic potential with its combination of world-leading technology, exceptional expertise within secure login and information handling, as well as an extremely strong market position in Sweden. Furthermore, interest in and understanding of digital security is increasing incredibly quickly in all parts of society. Increasing numbers of companies and organisations, both private and public, are now understanding how important it is to set priorities. As new Managing Director, I am looking forward to an exciting growth journey and being able to contribute to communicating the importance of IT security and how simple it is to both resolve security challenges and rationalise operations", Martin Eriksson says.
